Description
The creator/owner of the copybook (as well as of the two loose pages) would be Gurdon Trumbull (1790-1875) of Stonington, CT. The compositions are by various composers, but one to note is Sawney Freeman, a formerly enslaved man born in 1769/70 and who died in 1828. The copy book and loose pages can be dated to 1817.

Two (2) loose leaves were digitized separately and added to the PDF in the place where, investigation of the paper and ink leads us to believe, they originated in the copybook.
