Abstract

Four manuscript receipts related to the burial and funeral of James Williams, janitor at Trinity College who died in 1878. The documents were transferred to the Trinity College Archives from the Treasurers Papers removed from the Williams Memorial building in May 1975. The handwritten note on the verso of each receipt indicating this provenance was written by Peter Knapp, who began as Trinity's College Archivist in 1972.
