Abstract
Perin Adams '13 was one of five (5) Watkinson Creative Fellows at work during the spring semester, 2012. A double-major in English and Economics, Perin intended to explore the theme of "solitary life" through works of education and religion in the Watkison collections. Among the sources which inspired the creation of this film were
- William Cobbett's Advice to young men, and (incidentally) to young women, in the middle and higher ranks of life (1833).
- Hugh Blair's Advice to Youth (1818)
- Noah Webster's An American Selection of Lessons in Reading and Speaking (1790).
- The British Instructor (1763).
