Community Action Gateway students partnered with Blue Ribbon Strategies on the Unlock the Vote Campaign, specifically advocating for S.B. 25 An Act Restoring Electoral Privileges to Felony Convicts Who Are Currently on Parole. Students researched criminal disenfranchisement laws in various states, lobbied at the State Capitol in support of the bill, and conducted and transcribed interviews with Hartford residents and Trinity College students on their thoughts regarding felony disenfranchisement.
